I Wish Kids Didn't Have To Resort To Such Desperate Measures....

I wish, one person could've heard Abraham Biggs' cry for help, and dried his tears.

I wish suicide would not be viewed as the final answer for our youth...
The image “http://home.comcast.net/~majerus-collins/feelingalone.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I wish and hope the day would come sooner rather than later, when Abraham's family will know-it's not ok, but it is alright.
We can't save all of our youth, but we can PAY ATTENTION to the warning signs:
  • Sadness or hopelessness
  • Irritability, anger, or hostility
  • Tearfulness or frequent crying
  • Withdrawal from friends and family
  • Loss of interest in activities
  • Changes in eating and sleeping habits
  • Restlessness and agitation
  • Feelings of worthlessness and guilt
  • Lack of enthusiasm and motivation
  • Fatigue or lack of energy
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Thoughts of death or suicide

I wish...through Abraham's death, another life is saved.
I wish...Abraham Biggs, was alive.

RIP Abraham Biggs

Scratch One Wish Off the List...

There will be black man inaugurated as president on January 20, 2009. I am still coming to terms with this piece of history that has now been added to our lives. Like many African Americans while this wasn't often said out loud, I must admit Barack Obama's cool, suave swagger, his nonplussed attitude in the midst of accusations, his blatant love for his wife-has indeed moved me. I can scratch a wish off of my list. I have lived to see a black man become president for all of the people.

It's good to know that wishes are still coming true.

Congratulations, President-Elect Barack Obama
